Credential verification

Every professional's credentials must be verified before they can accept a shift. Expiry dates are tracked automatically — professionals with lapsed credentials are paused from new bookings.

Liability cover checked

Every professional must hold their own professional liability cover. Professionals joining now upload their certificate and our team checks it before they can accept a shift. Professionals who joined before that requirement record their cover voluntarily; where they have, we track its expiry and remind them. An uninsured incident can carry significant financial exposure, so confirm cover directly with the professional if your own policy requires it.

Priority Re-match

If a confirmed professional cancels or doesn't arrive, your shift is reopened and the best-matched available professionals are invited right away. You aren't charged a platform fee for the booking that fell through, and our team may waive the fee on the replacement. A replacement depends on who is available, so we can't promise one.

Direct Hire pathway

Non-circumvention agreements protect both sides. If you hire a professional introduced through the platform on a permanent basis, the Direct Hire flow applies a transparent one-time conversion fee — no surprises, no ongoing platform fees.

Your clinic chooses the arrangement.

For each engagement, your clinic chooses whether it engages the professional as an employee or as an independent contractor. Facioneer records your choice and the facts you enter — it does not determine classification or act as your payroll provider.

T4 Employee pathway

If your clinic chooses to engage the professional as its employee, the clinic handles payroll deductions (CPP, EI, income tax) and issues T4 slips at year-end.

Contractor pathway

If your clinic chooses to engage the professional, or their corporation, as an independent contractor, the clinic pays them through Facioneer’s payment service and issues T4A slips where required.

How does the pricing actually work?
You pay a flat per-shift platform fee only when a shift is successfully filled. With bank debit, Pay-As-You-Go starts at $49/shift and drops to $35 at 6 shifts a month and $27 at 16; by card it is $60, $46 and $38. Founding Clinic gives you 10 shifts at $0 with bank debit ($11 by card), then $39/shift with bank debit ($50 by card) and no subscription. Unlike agencies, we never mark up the professional's hourly rate. The rate you agree with the professional is what they earn — 100% of it. Additional plan options are available after account creation.
How do I pay?
Every plan has two prices: one with pre-authorized bank debit and one by card. The card price covers card processing costs. Bank debit avoids them, so you save $11 a shift (for example $49 per shift with bank debit · $60 by card). You authorize your clinic’s Canadian bank account once. Debits take 3–5 business days to settle, and the professional is paid once your payment clears.
How does liability coverage work?
Facioneer is not an insurance provider and does not arrange coverage. Dental professionals are required by their regulator to carry their own liability cover; each professional records their policy and its expiry with us, and we track that date. Confirm cover directly with the professional if your own policy requires it. Clinics and professionals remain responsible for maintaining any additional coverage required by their regulator.
How quickly can I fill a shift?
Fill speed depends on location, role and notice. Posting earlier gives more professionals time to respond, and verified professionals nearby are notified as soon as you post.
What happens if a professional doesn't show up?
Our reliability system tracks attendance, you set the minimum reliability score a professional must meet to be matched to your shifts, and repeated no-shows lead to suspension. If a no-show happens, priority re-match starts automatically: your shift is reopened and available professionals are invited right away, and you aren't charged a platform fee for the missed booking. Our team may also waive the fee on the replacement. A replacement depends on who is available, so we can't promise one.
Can I hire a professional permanently?
Absolutely — it's fully supported through the Direct Hire flow. When you want to hire a professional introduced via Facioneer on a full-time or long-term basis, a one-time Direct Hire fee applies in lieu of ongoing platform fees: 15% of the agreed first-year salary, 10% after 20 shifts together, 5% after 60. Your clinic's first conversion within its first 12 months is free. The professional's offered salary is never reduced.
What happens if all Founding Clinic spots are taken?
New clinics join the Founding Clinic Waitlist once the initial 25 spots are filled. If a current Founding Clinic cancels, the next clinic on the waitlist is offered a spot with a 48-hour exclusive window to accept. This ensures every Founding Clinic is genuinely committed — no abandoned spots.
