Most platforms track "how good you are" in a black box. We built the opposite. You see your reliability score and everything that moved it — every no-show, every late cancellation, every rating — on your own dashboard.

How it actually works

Your reliability is a 100-point score. Every new professional starts at 100, so there's no gatekeeping barrier to getting good shifts on day one. Three things move it: a no-show costs you, a cancellation inside 24 hours of the start costs you less, and every clinic rating pulls your score toward your star average — which is how it recovers. Clinics see a tier rather than the raw number, and until you have five completed shifts behind it that tier reads New or Building — a perfect score means little with no record behind it, and we won't imply otherwise.

Strong reliability earns you Top Tier status — the top of the list when a clinic browses candidates, and a stronger negotiating position on your rate. Clinics see the tier, never the number behind it.

Crucially: reliability never deducts from what you earn. The worst case is that you fall below a clinic's minimum and stop being matched to its shifts. Your earnings flow always works exactly the same way.

Is it really free? How do you make money if I don't pay?
Yes, free — forever. The platform is paid for by clinics, not professionals. Clinics pay a flat per-shift platform fee for matching and verification services. Your hourly rate is a separate line item on their invoice — we never see it, never touch it, never deduct from it.
Do you deduct anything from my hourly rate?
Never. Not a cent. Not for any reason. You set your rate. The clinic pays your rate. The money goes to you via direct deposit. If something ever goes wrong with a shift, the worst case is that a payment is delayed until a dispute is resolved — the platform cannot and does not take a deduction from your earnings, even in disputes.
How do I get paid?
Payments flow through Stripe Connect — the same payment infrastructure used by Lyft, Shopify, and most major gig platforms. When you accept your first shift, you connect your bank account to Stripe (we never see or store your banking details). The moment a shift's timesheet is approved, your pay is on its way automatically — landing in your bank within a business day or two. All payments are CRA-compliant with T4A reporting at year-end — no tax surprises.
What if a clinic doesn't pay me or disputes my timesheet?
Every timesheet must be approved by the clinic manager — the platform never approves on their behalf, even if they go silent. If a clinic goes silent, we automatically escalate through multiple reminders to a backup admin. If a clinic disputes your hours, you have a clear window to resubmit with clarification or contest the dispute through the platform's documentation system. All messages, timesheets, and decisions are audit-logged, so disputes have a paper trail.
How does the reliability system actually affect me?
Reliability is not a wage-deduction mechanism — it's a visibility mechanism. Strong reliability (95+, once you have five completed shifts) earns you Top Tier status, which puts you at the top of the candidate list a clinic browses. Short-notice shifts pay more — up to 30% above the posted rate inside 48 hours — and every tier can take them. What reliability does affect is matching: each clinic sets a minimum reliability score, 70 by default, and below a clinic's minimum you stop being matched to its shifts. Your earnings flow is never affected.
Can I work with multiple clinics?
Absolutely — that's a key part of the platform's value. You can accept shifts at as many different clinics as you want. Many professionals work at 4–6 different clinics over the course of a month, building variety, experience, and relationships with clinics they like best. The one important rule: our Non-Circumvention Agreement means if a clinic introduces you through the platform and later wants to hire you permanently, they must do so through our Direct Hire flow — this protects you as much as them, and it never affects your salary.
What happens to my data? Is my info safe?
Your credential documents are stored encrypted. Your profile is never shared with clinics until you accept an interest request — only your first name, last initial, match score, and approximate distance are shown pre-acceptance. Your bank and payment details are handled entirely by Stripe — Facioneer never sees, stores, or transmits them. You can request a full export or deletion of your data at any time through the dashboard or by emailing our privacy team.
